Practice Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
To provide high quality and efficient care, we must work within an appointment schedule. The receptionist is available daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for scheduling. Please provide enough information about the nature of your problem so that we allow enough time for your visit.
We make every effort to honor all time commitments and do our best to see you at the time of your appointment. Occasionally, surgery or an emergency may cause an unexpected and unavoidable delay, so please bear with us.
In fairness to other patients and the doctor, we require at least 24 hours notice to cancel appointments. You may be charged for missed appointment or dismissed from the practice.
Prescriptions
Please call for refills only during office hours when your records are available. Please have the pharmacy name and phone number ready.
No prescriptions will be refilled over the weekend or on holidays
Evening, Weekend, and Emergency Care
When the office is closed, our answering service will forward your call to Dr. Emanuel or the physician taking his calls.
Dr. Emanuel is affiliated with the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) and St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco. In the event of an emergency, go immediately to their emergency room or the nearest hospital.

Please call during regular hours if you have questions about your medications or medical condition. Our staff is trained to answer many of your questions.
Please understand that medical liability makes it virtually impossible to diagnose and treat your medical problem over the phone.
Please note that no prescriptions will be refilled over the weekend
Fees
We make every effort to keep down the cost of your medical care. In most cases, we accept your insurance payment as payment in full, provided the service is covered and your deductible has been met. Any exceptions are the responsibility of the patient. We are members of most insurance plans, such as Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Medicare, Select Health, Aetna/US Healthcare and Cigna. We ask that you provide us with all needed information regarding your insurance to help make billing run smoothly.
If you have no insurance, we would appreciate payment at the time of service. If your situation prevents you from paying your bill promptly, arrangements can be made.
If you choose to do your own billing, a superbill form will be supplied to you upon payment.
